At ConvGrid ("we", "our", or "us"), privacy is not an afterthought—it is the core foundation of our architecture. Whether you are converting PDFs, optimizing images, formatting code, or extracting text across our 22+ web utilities, your files and sensitive data belong strictly to you.
Browser-First Execution
The vast majority of our tools execute 100% locally inside your web browser via WebAssembly and HTML5 APIs.
Zero File Retention
When server-side processing is required for heavy tasks, files are processed in volatile memory (RAM) and purged immediately.
No Data Selling
We never read, inspect, mine, sell, or use your uploaded documents or images to train AI models.
1. How We Process Your Files (Hybrid Architecture)
ConvGrid utilizes a modern Hybrid Privacy Architecture designed to minimize data transmission over the internet:
- Client-Side (In-Browser) Processing: Most of our tools—including PDF merging/splitting, image compression, EXIF metadata removal, QR generation, Unicode conversion, and developer sandboxes—run directly on your device's CPU/GPU. In these tools, your files never leave your computer or phone.
- Ephemeral Server-Assisted Processing: Certain compute-intensive operations (such as advanced format decoding, high-resolution AI enhancement, or specialized document transformations) may securely transmit data over encrypted TLS/HTTPS connections to our stateless processing servers.
- Instant Deletion Guarantee: Any data processed by our servers is handled strictly in temporary memory or isolated ephemeral containers and is permanently deleted immediately upon completion of the request. We do not maintain a database of user files, nor do we create backups of your content.
2. Personal Information & Zero-Account Policy
ConvGrid does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or payment details to use our utilities. You can use all 22+ tools anonymously.
For tools like our Invoice & Receipt PDF Maker or Sign PDF utility, any signatures, business names, or financial figures you enter are processed locally in your browser session to generate your downloadable file and are never saved on our servers.
3. Cookies, Local Storage & Analytics
We use minimal browser localStorage and essential cookies strictly to improve user experience (such as remembering your preferred tool settings, theme preferences, or temporary workspace drafts on your own device). We may use privacy-friendly, anonymized web analytics and standard advertising partners (such as Google) to measure site traffic and keep ConvGrid 100% free.
4. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/UK) & CCPA (California/US)
Regardless of whether you reside in the United States, the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Canada, or elsewhere, we extend top-tier privacy rights to all users:
- Right to Know & Access: Since we do not store personal profiles or uploaded files, we hold no personal dossier on you.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Local browser data can be cleared at any time via your browser settings. Server-processed streams are automatically erased within seconds.
- Do Not Sell My Personal Information (CCPA): ConvGrid does not sell, rent, or trade personal data with third-party data brokers.
5. Third-Party Links & Security
All connections to ConvGrid are secured via 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) with strict Content Security Policies (CSP). While our tools are engineered to strip malicious scripts (such as in our Secure HTML Sandbox), users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to process the files they select.
